<p>Police have captured an escapee after a foot pursuit through Sydney’s  CBD this morning.</p>
<p>About 6.30am police received a report of a stabbing in Glebe. Police  attended an address on Glebe Point Road however the injuries were not  indicative of a stabbing.</p>
<p>After questioning the injured 26-year-old man, police arrested him in  relation to an alleged break and enter that had occurred earlier that  night. They took the man to Sydney Hospital for treatment for an injury  to his hand</p>
<p>The man was treated and released from hospital.</p>
<p>As the two police officers attempted to assist the man into the police  truck, he struggled and broke free from the officers.</p>
<p>The man led the police officers on a foot pursuit between Macquarie  Street and Elizabeth Street.  The man was sighted entering a building  located on Elizabeth Street and was located a short time later.</p>
<p>The man is currently assisting police with enquiries.</p>
